The Junior Class at Hooks Lane School consists of  14-18 children  supervised by a certified teacher and a teacher's assistant.  Its "open classroom" design motivates the children  to move around the room freely choosing learning centers which encourage "hands on" experiences.

Our curriculum is planned monthly and coordinates developmentally appropriate activites with the seasons, alphabet, numbers, shapes, opposites, community helpers, safety,holidays, animals, planting, and even fun with food!

Daily activities include group and individual teacher directed time, free play, art, music, movement, story time and outside play time.

Weekly Activities include painting, cooking, collage, small and large motor activities and sensory activities(i.e., rice, water, bean play)
